i have a serious problem with jars/anything made of glass.
i collect the shit out of them.
Glass
sometimes i feel as if little glass jars and little glass bottles are so potentially cool, as if i could turn them into something or paint them or put flowers from my garden in them.
sometimes i feel like i want to capture things and study them.  once or twice i have found a really weird bug that i didnt know what it was and i put it in a jar.  i would take that jar to work or school with me and ask everyone if they knew what THIS *take out the jar and place it in their hand* was.
and thats when you could tell the people you wanted to be friends with.  those people might at first give a wtf face but then would take the jar and seriously look it over, maybe roll the object inside over and look at it some more.  and their face would do this wonderful thing where you could SEE the gears turn in their head.  grasping onto bits of memory cells that might reveal a historic encounter with a similar beast. or maybe a random fact overheard when someone was watching TV and flicked past the science channel.  or maybe use another technique - count the legs, categorize it, and then make a generalized statement about what it could be.
glass to me is like a lens and im not sure what i might see out of it, but knowing that i want to look - that makes me happy.
